The Los Angeles Urban League is partnering with Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) to a virtual BizCamps.
Biz Institute is an intensive program that condenses NFTE's year-long curriculum into weeks. We will offer 35 students the opportunity to participate and develop their own business plans while learning the entrepreneurial mindset.
Our volunteers play a critical role in bringing authenticity and validation to the student experience. We offer a variety of opportunities to fit your schedule and passion - everything from sharing your entrepreneurial journey or business lesson as a guest speaker, making a lifetime impact as a business coach or mentor.
Dates: July 6 - July 30, 2021
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The volunteer opportunities are described below:
Business Plan Coach & Mentor

Through one-on-one and small-group sessions (in breakout rooms) coaches assist students with developing their business plan, presenting before an audience, and preparing for questions from a panel of judges.
Business Plan Judge
Commitment: 2-3 hours
During the virtual competition, judges evaluate video presentations of the students' business plans.
