BizCamp is a program for individuals 13-18 (high school students) who are interested in starting a business. We will work to move them from a bright idea to a completed business plan competition.
TO SUCCEED AS A BIZCAMP INTERN IN 2021 YOU SHOULD BE:
A student who has completed core coursework toward an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing w/focus on Digital and/or Research, or Statistics/Data Analytics.
A highly collaborative, team player, who’s focused on results with strong digital marketing and/or data analytics.
A creative self-starter with strong strategy development and planning skills; and someone who is focused on developing excellent leadership and influencing skills.
Tasks for the interns in the virtual classroom will include:
Breakout Room Monitor: As students leave the general session to the Break Out Room, the intern will review the assignment, serve as a timekeeper, motivate students to stay on task, and bring them back to the general session
Student Monitoring: interns will be assigned a group of students to keep an eye on to ensure that everyone is present and participating
Volunteer Follow-up: Confirm all volunteers the day before, ensure any PowerPoint presentations have been submitted and ready for upload
Activate the Zoom meetings
Monitor Chat Box and respond to students or ensure that all questions are answered in each session
Photographer - take pictures of various breakout room sessions and general session
Admit Students into ZOOM classroom
Lead students in-class activities
We are seeking passionate/enthusiastic interns to assist the students in delivering creative and innovative projects that lead to a completed business plan.
Summer interns will have virtual based assignments assisting students with postings on Social Media and presenting themselves in a professional manner.
Interns will engaged students in developing e-commerce marketplace.
Interns will mentor students on how to effectively communicate with potential customers using technology and marketing methods.
