Check out some of our Frequently Asked Questions before you get started!
How will this in-person production work safely?
All participants on-site will follow LCT’s “Safe at Work” guidelines which include mandatory face coverings, daily temperature checks, and submitting the results of periodic COVID tests.
During rehearsals, cast members will join LCT staff over Zoom for as long as possible until rehearsing in person becomes necessary. Rehearsals will take place on LCT’s mainstage, our largest space. Additionally, not all characters in Alice in Wonderland encounter each other; we will segregate groups of performers “by scene” for as long as possible.
This show will perform at MoonDance Amphitheater, an outdoor venue owned by Lexington Parks and Rec. LCT will follow all city mandated safety measures for audiences and performers.
Please open our FAQ Page for more details.
How do I get help if I have trouble with my video?
Be sure your internet and browser settings, as well as your camera and microphone technology are on appropriate settings and working correctly. LCT staff will not be able to provide tech support for your personal elements. If you struggle with the flipgrid website itself, get in touch with us by email at psm@lctonstage.org.
If you're not sure what should be in your video please visit our audition page or check your confirmation email after filling out this form!
Where can I read the script?
Perusal scripts are available digitally by request only. Request one HERE.
Will I miss school or work to participate in this production?
Yes. There are school matinees planned on Thurs and Fri April 22nd and 23rd. These performances are scheduled for 10am and 11:45am, though these are tentative dates and times. Actors would be onsite from 9am-1pm for these performance times. It is possible that these performances will be reduced if sales don’t merit all the performances.
Are artists from out of town allowed to audition?
No, the on-site performances and rehearsals will not allow those outside central KY to participate.
Are actors paid to appear in this production?
No. Actors of any age will not be paid for this production.
I turn 9 after the deadline of March 1st. Can I still audition?
Not this time. We encourage performers under 9 to take theatre school classes to learn and grow and get ready for their first audition with us!
What if my child has special needs?
Please let us know on the last page of this form. We will be in touch to make sure your student has what they need to have a successful and fun audition process!
Should I audition even if it's my first time and I might not get a part?
Absolutely! You might not get a part the first time you audition for a show, but at LCT we make auditions as fun and unintimidating as possible. We do a lot of group activities, not so many "solo" activities. This is a great place to have your first audition! And you'll be less nervous for your next one.
What's the best way to get in touch with LCT staff right now?
While LCT staff works mostly from home the best way is to get in touch is by email. psm@lctonstage.org is the main account for questions about this audition process.
