LISC Indianapolis created the Building Bridges Awards in 2023 to celebrate the outstanding contributions, initiative, and leadership in the Bridges to Career Opportunities (Bridges) Network.
Building Bridges Awards will formally recognize five award recipients nominated by their peers across five distinct categories: Team Impact, Coaching Champion, Rockstar Rookie, Spotlight Leader, and Quality Career Navigation Community Award.
The Building Bridges Awards is a local staple championing how exemplary coaching and education can make a real difference across Indianapolis communities. The winners for each category will be announced during the Building Bridges Awards Ceremony at the Biltwell Events Center on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Team Impact Award
Recognizes the Bridges site that has most embodied the values of excellence, service, and commitment to helping clients progress toward economic self-sufficiency. Organizations that have met or exceeded their annual performance goals and demonstrated great promise heading into 2024.
Prize: Building Bridges Award Trophy, $500 for team celebration
Coaching Champion Award
Recognizes an outstanding Bridges coach who demonstrated tremendous initiative and desire to go above and beyond in serving their clients in 2023.
Prize: Building Bridges Award Trophy, $3,000 professional development scholarship
Rockstar Rookie Award
Recognizes a Bridges Network staff member hired within the last 12 months (since January 2023) who hit the ground running in the Bridges work and brought significant impact to their team in just a short amount of time.
Prize: Building Bridges Award Trophy, $3,000 professional development scholarship
Spotlight Leader Award
Recognizes a Bridges Network leadership staff member who demonstrated exceptional guidance, direction, decision-making, and commitment to the Bridges work in 2023.
Prize: Building Bridges Award Trophy, $3,000 professional development scholarship
Quality Career Navigation Community Award
Recognizes a Career Navigator who is committed to delivering relationship-based coaching to connect their clients to quality training, work experiences, and job opportunities. Nominations for this award are open to all Indianapolis Career Navigators and are not limited to the Bridges Network.
