Thank you for your interest in joining Living Lands & Waters in our newest Floating Classroom - the Mississippi River Institute (MRI)! Please enter your information below to register for an upcoming St. Paul Workforce Development Workshop. You will receive a confirmation email from Rachel after submission. Before you sign up for the workshop, please review the following:
- This is a Workforce Development Workshop promoting different river-related careers (barge industry, conservation, and more!)
- At this time, the barge is not wheelchair accessible.
- All participants (students and adults) must complete a waiver before your workshop date. Minors will need a parent/guardian's signature.
- Once you sign up for a date that works for your schedule, Rachel will send you a confirmation email, including details on parking, pre-workshop material, and guest speaker selections.
- The river is ultimately the boss! To ensure safety is our #1 focus, please know that workshops may be postponed or canceled due to hazardous water levels.
Tentative Schedule For the Day (schedule is subject to change):

9 AM: Arrive! Greeted by MRI Coordinator at barge entryway, bathroom, safety review

9:15-10:30 AM: Welcome! Living Lands & Waters presentation, barge tour, and introduction of the river-related Workforce Development Workshop day, including a career video narrated by Mike Rowe

10:30-11:30 AM: Guest Speaker #1

11:30-12 PM: Lunch (bring your own bagged lunch)

12-1 PM: Guest Speaker #2

1-1:45 PM: River-related activity

1:45-2 PM: Workshop debrief and departure
