In this question you are asked to select your 3 preferred radio stations for placement in order of preference.  You will need to give a reason for your station selection.  Please note that you are not automatically guaranteed to be placed in the stations you select.  If you are shortlisted for the programme, an interview process will take place with both Learning Waves and the radio station in advance of securing placement.

Section 4 - Terms of Programme

The following are the terms of the programme for graduates :

As part of the Learning Waves Graduate Programme, successful participants will agree to :

• Actively engage with all elements of the selection process
• Show a genuine interest in developing a career in the radio industry
• Commit to the five-month placement and the payment terms associated with the programme. Graduates will be paid €2100 per month for the duration of the programme
  
• Ensure content produced is true, interesting and relevant to the target audience of the station.
• Deal with real situations, source information through traditional and non-traditional means, use technical and editing skills, deal with situations such a guests cancelling, information not being available, verifying information, deciding on the strongest, most appropriate content or story, putting a running order together for a programme or news/sports bulletin, promoting the story on social media, and taking responsibility for monitoring content and audience interaction.
• Commit to a measurable number of outcomes over the 5 months
• Support Learning Waves, Coimisiún na Meánand their host stations in any elements or publicity required to future support or promote the bursary
