  • The Frank and Lucille Williams Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of the late Frank Edward Williams and his wife, Lucille Carter Williams. This scholarship reflects Frank and Lucille’s unwavering belief in the power of education, hard work and the importance of learning a trade to build a meaningful life. The scholarships are dedicated to supporting Louisa County High School graduates who wish to pursue a trade education at a trade school, technical school, vocational training program, community college, or four-year college or university. The scholarship seeks to support students who have demonstrated a strong work ethic and actively participated in Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes and programs at Louisa County High School.

    Amount: $1,000 - $10,000

    Scholarships:

    • One (1) $10,000 Scholarship – For a student enrolling in a two-year or longer trade program, community college, or university program
    • Two (2) $5,000 Scholarships – For students enrolling in a one-year or longer trade program, community college, or university program
    • Two (2) $2,500 Scholarships – For students enrolling in a one-year or longer trade program, community college, or university program

    Awards: 

    • $5,000 in Financial Assistance – To be distributed among recipients based on financial need

    Use of Funds: 

    • Tuition and direct costs associated with enrollment
    • Indirect costs, including books, supplies, and necessary tools/equipment
    • Living expenses to support the student’s ability to complete the program
    • Stipends (only from award funds) may be paid directly to students based on the terms of the award

    Eligibility:

    • Class of 2026 Louisa County High School Graduating Senior
    • Completed LCHS CTE courses or has been a member of a CTE student organization
    • Students enrolling in full-time, part-time, or certification programs at trade schools, technical schools, vocational training institutions, community colleges, or four-year colleges and universities

    Requirements:

    • Copy of acceptance letter for program or offer of employment
    • Recommendation letter from teacher or mentor
