  • The Juanita Hopkins Scholarship was established in memory of Juanita Hopkins Gates Beadles, an exceptional student and valedictorian of the LCHS Class of 1946, by her husband Richard Beadles and daughters Deborah, Donna, and Dabney. This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement and supports Louisa County High School graduates with a GPA of 3.75 or higher who plan to pursue a degree or certification at a college or accredited institution in Virginia. This awards reflects the family’s desire to encourage and assist promising students on their educational journey.

    Amount: $12,000 distributed over 4 years

    Eligibility:

    • Class of 2026 Louisa County High School Graduating Senior
    • Planning to attend 4 year accredited college or university in Virginia to pursue a bachelor's degree; or any Virginia community college or other fully accredited training institution to pursue an Associate's degree or comparable
    • Minimum GPA of 3.75

    Requirements:

    • Recommendation letter from classroom teacher
    • Name and contact information for character reference
    • Evidence of financial need
