Photographic & Professional Understanding
Please understand that I take my service to you as a professional very seriously, and you have hired me for our quality, artistry, expertise and reputation.
Creative Control in the Session. The Photographer retains creative control of the session. This control is including but not limited to the adjustment of hair, makeup, jewelry, clothing, and clothing straps. The Client shall request, at the time of the session, for any adjustments to clothing, hair, and makeup to be made. The client will cooperate with Photographer and defer to Photographer’s professional judgment in all matters related to creative control. The client agrees that the Photographer cannot guarantee any specific pose or photograph and that Photographer has the absolute discretion to refuse to create any specific photographic image.
Use of Independent Contractor. The client acknowledges and agrees that the Photographer may utilize independent contractors in the course of the photo-shoot. These include, but are not limited to, hair and/or makeup artists. The photographer is not liable for any application or services by any independent contractor. This includes but is not limited to allergies as a result of the use of the products by the independent contractor. Photographer will provide client contact information for any independent contractor utilized in the photographic session. The client agrees and acknowledges that they will contact the independent contractor and convey to the said independent contractor any health-related concerns, allergies, or other pertinent information to the contractor.
Gallery Availability. Allow up to four weeks for preparation of the Client's images. A notification will be sent to the Client once the proof gallery is available for viewing. I do not run your images through a batch editing program, where every image receives the same treatment. Therefore, please allow these weeks for your image gallery to become available. The Client shall receive around 30-50 images and shall not receive any other photographic materials not already presented to the Client. Delivered proofs may not include all captured photographs.
Photographic Materials. The Photographer retains the right and discretion on which images are selected and ultimately what photographic material is presented to the Client. The client shall not receive any photographic materials not already presented to the Client. All photographic materials, including but not limited to negatives, transparencies, proofs, and previews, shall be the exclusive property of the Photographer.
Creative Control Editing. Lyryn Kay Photography shoots all images in a RAW format which takes time to convert into a finished format. Lyryn Kay could capture up to 500 images in one session, however, it will be up to the discretion of Lyryn Kay to choose the images that will be in the final edit. All other images will be used as processing tools or will be deleted.
** The Client shall never receive unfinished images. The Client has hired Lyryn Kay based on her portfolio: the finished work. Editing said images are part of that process and are a major factor in the process of creating a final image. Until the photo is edited, the image is not finished and will not be shown.
