MAS ÁLVAREZ SUMMER INTERNSHIP GRANT
The MAS Álvarez Internship Grant program allows Trinity students to engage with the MAS world through work in qualifying non-profit organizations. These unpaid internships support the development of a greater understanding of cultural expression, historical experience, societal practices, institutional life, and the physical environment of the MAS world. This program is designed to offer service-learning opportunities while providing a wealth of real-world experiences that advance a student's academic and professional goals. Awardees will receive a grant payment of $5000 and Trinity housing to support their successful completion of the internship.
Basic requirements of the internship
- A formal relationship with a non-profit organization that has Latina/o/x as its principal clientele OR deals with an issue related to the MAS world.
- A Full-time, 10-week Summer position
- Mentorship of a Trinity University faculty member
- Biweekly journal entries
- Attendance at MAS-organized summer workshops
- Participation in the Trinity Summer Symposium in July

- Letter from organization officially granting the internship
