  • Music Camp Details

    Camp Dates: June 1-5 (Camp) June 6 & 7 (Rehearsal/Musical)

    • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. (Monday through Friday)*
    • 9:00 AM (Saturday) Dress Rehearsal
    • 9:30 AM (Sunday) Presentation of Musical

    *Camp Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

    • Check in opens at 7:45 AM each day. Check-out runs 3:45 - 4:00 PM each day for full day campers. 
    • If a camper does not plan to participate in afternoon field trips, they must be picked up by 12:00 PM.

    Ages: (Rising) Kindergarteners through Rising 9th Graders
    Location: Messiah Lutheran Church, 7740 Hwy 72 West, Madison, AL 35758

    Camp Fees: $125 total for first child. $115 for each additional child.

    • Camp Fee includes $35.00 fee/deposit due at registration 
    • Balance of Camp Fees is due May 10.
    • Partial need-based scholarships are available.
    • $25 discount off first child for any volunteer age 25+ who serve 20+ hrs during camp week. Screening / training required.

    If you are interested in scholarships or the volunteer discount, please email musiccamp@mlutheran.org. Registration closes May 10, 2026 or when camp reaches 40 campers. If a wait list is created, all camp fees will be due within 48 hours of notification of waitlist placement into camp.

    Lunch: Is not included. All children should bring a sack lunch every day to camp. 

    Camp Cancellation Dates & Policy: Cancellation notices must be submitted by email to musiccamp@mlutheran.org.

    • Cancellation requests received before May 11 will receive a full refund 
    • Cancellation requests received May 12-25 will receive refund of fund  paid MINUS the $35 registration fee 
    • Cancellation requests received after May 25 will receive no refund

    Completing Registration:
    After you submit this form, a confirmation email will be sent with instructions and information including:

    • A link to securely pay your required $35 Registration Fee Camp Deposit per enrolled child. Payment of the deposit is required to confirm registration of your camper(s).
    • Some FAQs and who to contact regarding your child's wellness during camp should there be specific concerns (allergies, medication, etc.)

    Camper Behavior Expectations:
    We want all of our campers, volunteers and staff members to be safe and have fun at camp. To help achieve this goal, we have a few rules that we review with campers each morning.


    They are:

    1. Listen to camp leaders/volunteers and follow directions the first time.
    2. Respect space and belongings (Keep hands and feet to selves).
    3. Use only kind and appropriate words.
    4. Stay with the group.

    What happens if my child does not follow the camp rules?
    Most of our campers do not have any problem following the camp rules and participating appropriately in our engaging camps. Usually, a gentle reminder about the rules is all that is needed to get a camper back on track. For the safety of everyone, we have a corrective plan for continued misbehavior with a stepped response.

    • If campers do not correct their behavior after a few reminders, they may be asked to sit out of the current camp activity and think about their behavior, why it needs to change, and how they will improve it.
    • If the behavior continues, the camper is removed to the office to discuss with another staff member the rules and their behavior. The camp director will discuss the behavior with parents at pick-up.
    • If the camper continues to display inappropriate behavior the parent/guardian is called immediately, and the behavior and the plan going forward is discussed.
    • If the inappropriate behavior is not corrected, the child will be dismissed from the camp. No refunds are given if a child is dismissed due to repeated behaviors that disrupt the camp or that endanger themselves, other people, or property.
    • If a child is hitting, fighting, inappropriately touching others, or endangering themselves or others, we will separate the child from the group and call the parent immediately. We reserve the right to dismiss the child without further interventions.

    Please check that you have read and understand the above regarding your child's participation in Music Camp and the shared responsibility which makes it a success for all involved.
  • CHILD INFORMATION:

    You will need to submit a separate form for each child you are registering. Please see grade information above prior to registering.
  • PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATION:

    Once you have provided your information, please also provide below, the names of all individuals authorized to pick up your child from Music Camp.
  • Physician Information: You must provide your child's physician name / clinic name prior to Camp start date.

    Children (K-up) attending Music Camp will have Music, Drama, Snack, Recreation, and Craft Activities in the morning at Messiah.  Tuesday through Friday children will be transported to recreation activities off-site. Admission to offsite activities is included in Camp Fee. 

    The Recreation activities will include the following with exact dates to follow.

    • Cook's Museum (Decatur)
    • Swimming at Dublin Park (two times)  
    • Burrit on the Mountain

  • Are you sure? The Sunday musical presentation is the highlight of Music Camp.  Your child will be eager to share what they've learned and rehearsed through the week.  If your child will not be part of the Sunday Musical, they will still have a great time, but will not be considered for roles that have speaking or singing solos. 

  • Release: I understand that all reasonable safety precautions will be taken throughout the week of Music Camp, and that the possibility of an unforeseen hazard does exist. I further agree not to hold Messiah Lutheran Church, its leaders, employees, and volunteer staff liable for damages, losses, diseases, or injuries incurred by the minor listed on this form.

    By signing below I attest that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child / participant listed on this registration form, have been informed of the above activities sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church, and hereby grant consent for my minor child to participate in the following activities listed above.

  • MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION FORM:

  • Being the parent or legal guardian of the child listed on this form, I, the undersigned do consent to any x-ray, anesthetic, medical, surgical, or dental diagnosis or treatment that may be deemed necessary for my minor child. Further, I understand that all efforts will be made to contact me prior to treatment. In the event I cannot be reached in an emergency, I give permission to the activity leader to make the decisions necessary for treatment. Should there be no activity leader available, I give permission to the attending physician to treat my minor child. I further understand that the doctors, dentists, and other providers attending to my child will take all reasonable safety precautions during their care.

    Further, as parent or legal guardian I am responsible for the health care decisions for my minor child and agree that my insurance plan is the primary plan to pay for the dental, medical, or hospital care or treatment that is given to my child.

  • PHOTO RELEASE FORM:

  • We care deeply for all children, and use best practices and standards for photographing / videotaping minors which include: 

    • Not publicly sharing photos of children with their names
    • Not sharing location information on photos 
    • Not publishing the Music Camp musical "Playbill" online
    • Not sharing "posed" individual pictures online. Our volunteers may take headshot style portraits of the children for use for crafts. 
    • We strive to capture children in groups interacting and having fun with the activity they are participating in often with supervising adults and leaders in the photos.   
    • While our Sunday service is livestreamed, we do not use tight camera angles in capturing the presentation of the musical. 

    I grant permission to Messiah Music Camp, its agents, and its staff the irrevocable and unrestricted right to produce photographs and video taken of my child, myself, and members of my family while at Messiah Lutheran Church for any lawful purpose including livestreaming the presentation, videos of rehearsals, publication, promotion, illustration, advertising, trade, or historical archive in any manner or in any medium by Messiah Music Camp or Messiah Lutheran Church. I hereby release Messiah Music Camp and Messiah Lutheran Church and its legal representatives from liability for any violation or claims relating to said images or video.

  • PARENT VOLUNTEER FORM:

    Volunteers are essential to the success of Music Camp. We welcome your willingness to help chaperone an activity or assist with the morning activities. All new MLC volunteers working with children will be asked to read and agree to follow the MLC Youth Activity Safety Standards.

    You may also stop by the office 8:30 - Noon, M-F to drop off your payment at 7740 Hwy 72 West, Madison Al.  If the door is locked during this time please call the number on the door. 

    Camp Fees are due May 10, 2026.   If your child cannot attend camp after you have reserved or paid, please note our cancelation policy.
