Tips on increasing your group's fundraiser check
1) Spread the word. Your group is not limited to the size of your group - it's as big as your group, their families, their neighbors, co-workers of each parent, cousins, aunts/uncles, anyone.
We have had small groups have TREMENDOUS fundraisers and have had large groups not have much of a turn out. Sometimes having a main coach/teacher/principal/parent “working” the event WILL DRAW THE KIDS IN- they will want to see their coach/teacher serving them for once!
2) Don't forget the lunch possibility- having the parents bring co-workers at lunch can DOUBLE the payback for your group
3) CATER!!!!! Have members of your group schedule a catering with our catering department on not only this day - BUT ANY TIME THE ENTIRE WEEK BEFORE, THE WEEK OF, EVEN THE WEEK AFTER, and make sure you tell us it’s part of your fundraiser group – get a nice bump in your total. We've had a group add $990 in sales just with one catering. Just call the catering line and ask them to link their catering to the fundraiser for your group. Please note any catering linked to a fundraiser cannot be discounted, and only 25% of the catering can come back to your group
4) It's not the size of your group that determines the check - it's how well you spread the word. One of our largest fund-raiser to date was a VERY small private school - they've had five times the showing of some local high school groups. Only because they pushed it hard with their members and everyone they knew
5) We have Yard signs and a 12-foot flag to help spread the word - if it makes sense with your group. Please ask us about getting these and setting them up. They read “Fundraiser at Moe’s Tomorrow” and “Fundraiser at Moe’s Today.”
6) Have a person slated to work with us that the members of your group want to see SERVE THEM - the kids LOVE to have their teacher/coach/pastor/principal wiping their tables, getting their refills. They will encourage their parents to take them, if for no other reason than this
7) We ask that no one in your group approaches our current customers, in the restaurant, on the patio, or in the parking lot to have them tell the cashier they are with your group.
8) Ensure everyone at the register lets us know they're here for your group. We don't need a flyer - but many groups print these up to help spread the word.
9) This is NOT just for Schools - have the staff order lunch from us that day., and even get it DELIVERED. Browse our menu (at moes.com) - and have someone order it through the app or website and even choose delivery- 30 teachers/staff ordering like this will add $200+ dollars to your total! If you’re a small organization with 3 office staff, don’t blow this off, maybe one of your committee members works in an office where they can get 25 people to order a lunch delivery!
