Becoming part of the P&C Executive is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the future of Mackay Northern Beaches SHS. Executive members play an important leadership role in strengthening partnerships between families, the school and the wider community.

Serving on the P&C Executive allows you to help shape initiatives, support school priorities, and ensure that decisions reflect the needs of our students and families. Whether your strengths lie in leadership, organisation, communication or financial oversight, your involvement can have a lasting and positive impact.

If you are passionate about supporting our school and would like to be part of a team committed to making a real difference, we encourage you to nominate for an executive position. Your voice, skills and perspective are valued.

President

Provides leadership and is the accountable officer of the Association. Acts as representative to support communication between the Association, school administration and community. Chairs meetings efficiently and in accordance with the constitution. Liaises with the Principal to maximise collaboration for student benefit.

Vice-President

Supports the President and Executive Committee. Chairs meetings in the President’s absence. Maintains familiarity with governing rules and constitution.

Secretary

Collates agenda items. Assists in preparing meeting agendas. Distributes correspondence. Prepares and presents minutes. Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence. Maintains Association records.

Treasurer

Responsible for financial management. Complies with the Accounting Manual for P&C Associations. Prepares annual budget and Annual Operational Plan. Maintains accurate financial records.

By submitting your application, nominations will be sent to the school Principal or the Principal’s representative for the AGM.
