OVERVIEW COURSE REGISTRATION, PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY for 50% OFF COUPON PARTICIPANTS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING:
Course registration through this discount form ends at 5pm the evening before the 1st day of class. If you miss the online registration deadline, please do not register through this form. Walk-ins on the first day of any class will be accepted based on available space in the course and instructor approval (please arrive at least 15 minutes early). Walk-ins must present full payment via check, money order or credit card upon arrival the morning of the first day before class begins - no exceptions.
Course cancellations and/or transfer requests by enrolled participants must be received in writing 5 business days BEFORE each scheduled course starting date, and are subject to a $100 refund processing fee. Cancellations received less than 5 business days prior to a class will NOT be refunded. There are absolutely no refunds once a course has ended or has been attended. Transfer requests must be made 5 business days prior to the start of the course and are subject to a $30 transfer processing fee. All course registrations are non-transferable once a course has been attended. Making Math Real cannot accommodate any requests to split course attendance between 2 course offerings. The Making Math Real Institute DOES NOT PROVIDE MAKE-UPS for your missing any amount of course content/class time.
The Making Math Real Institute (MMRI) strives to provide the course content to its registered participants according to the confirmed class schedule, however, the MMRI shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of its course offering obligations arising out of or caused, directly or indirectly, by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to Acts of God/force majeure, naturally occuring disasters such as floods, fire, unavoidable events and/or accidents such as but not limited to instructor injury, illness, or hospitalization, casualty, lockout, strike, labor conditions, power supply outage/shut down, infectious disease epidemic or pandemic, war or threat of war, terrorism or threat of terrorism, civil disturbance, government action, inaction or reaction, or by any local, state or national emergency, or other unforeseen and unavoidable events, and MMRI shall not be deemed liable or responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of a course. The MMRI will take reasonable steps to minimize course schedule interruptions but shall have no liability with respect thereto, and is not responsible for course rescheduling/refunding and any subsequent issues or unforeseen results that may occur for participants from such an “Act of God” interruption, such as but not limited to canceled, interrupted or delayed travel. MMRI is not responsible or liable for any participant who may be unable to attend a course due to the above Act of God conditions beyond the MMRI’s control. The course participant shall be responsible for all costs incurred in connection with course attendance or access to any course, and the MMRI shall not be deemed liable for any course registration refunds, travel expenses or class rescheduling. Making Math Real is not responsible for any subsequent issues or unforeseen results that may occur for participants, from such an interruption. Although the MMRI will make every reasonable effort to offer alternative course instruction delivery, postpone and/or reschedule the course time affected by such an event, it remains the sole discretion of the Institute, and Making Math Real cannot guarantee the ability or availability to do so.
COMPUTER LAPTOP USE POLICY & AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING POLICY: For the benefit, safety and privacy of all course participants, Making Math Real does NOT allow for any audio or video recording or photography of any kind during courses or presentations. Laptop computers and iPads/tablets will be allowed during class instruction for note-taking purposes ONLY. All other electronic devices and cameras, including but not limited to cell phones, smart watches, digital cameras and recording pens are strictly prohibited during class instruction, and must be turned off and stored away during all course instruction time. Course participants may access their cell phones during regularly scheduled breaks and lunch. Any participant who violates this policy and uses their technology device to record will be required to delete the recorded content and be immediately and permanently removed from the course (future course privileges may also be revoked). Violators are not eligible for refunds of any kind and will receive an incomplete in the course.
CELL PHONE USE POLICY: Out of respect for the course instructor and all participants, cell phone use is prohibited during class time. Participants may check phones for texts and return calls during regularly scheduled breaks and lunch. All cell phones must be turned off and stored away during course instruction. Please give family and friends the Education Center’s front desk phone number in case of emergency (inquire at front desk for number).
MAKING MATH REAL INSTITUTE DISCLAIMER: Whereas the Making Math Real Institute makes all efforts to keep all courses open, the Making Math Real Institute reserves the right to cancel any course at any time based on low enrollment, at which time all participants previously enrolled in said course will be notified via email in advance of the course start date and refunds will be issued.
