The Russell Kantor Next Steps Fund honors the memory of Russell Kantor, son of LA Conservation Corps Founder Mickey Kantor. It aims to encourage and support the Corps’ young people in their further education and training, so they might find greater opportunities and realize the goals they developed while in the Corps.
You should be a current or former Corps member in the Young Adult Corps for at least 6 months.
You should have a high school diploma or GED or be a high school senior who expects to graduate this year.
You should have plans to enroll in a program of education/training aimed at a profession/vocation, an internship, or union/apprenticeship program in the coming year.
Corps members in the work/study program and students in the Pico-Saito charter school who are also participating in the LA Conservation Corps programs may apply.
Applications can be submiited on a quarterly basis.
