The Guard of Honour will be assembled offshore in the Broadwater adjacent to the Cenotaph in the Broadwater Parklands.
As the Dawn Service will commence at approximately 0500hrs, the raft-up will commence Friday 24th April. All boats will be allocated a position in the raft-up and receive an arrival time prior to the day.
Queensland Water Police, Coast Guard and VMR will be in attendance on the day. Skippers are required to monitor VHF Channel 72 throughout the event.
Please bring your own flares to set off - red flare for Dawn, and orange smoke flare for Citizen’s service.
Please note there is no water-taxi service to run your pets ashore, or pick-up/drop-off your guests. You are welcome to do those things with your own tender, provided that does not interfere with the integrity of the raft-up.
The overall safety of the formation cannot be compromised, so arrival times and compliance with instructions must be adhered to.
All vessels will require sufficient lines and fenders, as the raft-up will be in place through several tide changes.
