Teen DocMakers Program – Summer Program Dates: July 11-August 29, 2025
Aspiring Director, take Your Seat!
This Summer, Get Paid to Learn Filmmaking!

Earn money while you learn filmmaking and complete a film! Applicants 13-18 years old are invited to apply for Teen DocMakers Lab. The program meets for 8 sessions once a week each Friday afternoon from 4-7 pm starting July 11 to August 29. Meals and a stipend for attendance in the program are provided in partnership with District Attorney Alvin Bragg's Office and their Gun Violence Prevention Initiative. The stipend is $75 a week ($18.75 an hour). Residents of Harlem, Washington Heights and NYCHA are strongly encouraged to apply.

Deadline to submit the application is SATURDAY, JULY 5, 2025

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance to the program by Monday, July 7.

Classes meet in person at Maysles Documentary Center.
