***PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL 10 MICROGRANTS HAVE NOW BEEN ALLOCATED, HOWEVER APPLICATIONS ARE STILL OPEN IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE WAITING LIST ***
Melbourne Fringe is providing an exclusive microgrants program for current students as part of our partnership with the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance.
A microgrant at Melbourne Fringe is a waiver of the participation fee for the Festival (valued at $430 for a season of work in 2021) which includes:
inclusion in the Festival program,
support from our artist services and accessibility teams,
artist development opportunities throughout the year.
There are ten microgrants available, and it is a non-competitive microgrants program, meaning they will be allocated on a first-applied basis rather than assessed against set criteria.
What you need: an event – be it a live in-person show or some amazing innovative work suited to our Digital Fringe platform. Your event will be part of our Open Access Program, which means we’re not producing it for you, but we can definitely guide you through your Fringe journey to make sure you have everything you need.
If you receive a Monash Microgrant you must be prepared to register a 2021 Melbourne Fringe Festival event.
