MASTER OF CEREMONIES APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS
The 2024 Merion Village Festival will be held on Sunday, August 25th from 12 to 6 PM, in Moeller Park (281 Hanford Street, Columbus, OH 43206). This annual, outdoor, rain-or-shine festival will continue to feature artists, crafters, local businesses, and organizations as we celebrate the vibrant community and atmosphere of the Historic Merion Village neighborhood. All proceeds from this event benefit the Merion Village Association, a 501(c)(3) civic organization.
The MC selected for this will serve on a volunteer basis. This is not a paid event.
- The MC will open the festival promptly at 12 PM
- The MC will announce each band/musician as their set begins. There will be a total of 5-6 sets throughout the day
- There may also be dance or other non-music performances between sets which the MC will announce
- The MC will have the opportunity to give short performances between sets if desired
- The MC will share announcements throughout the event.
- The MC will close the festival at 6 PM
- This is a family-friendly event. The MC must ensure all language and performances are friendly to all ages.
Our event is exclusively outdoor, so we will provide a 20' X 20' canopied stage area for all performers and the MC and a complete, standard sound setup. The selected MC will be included in our event promotions.
The Merion Village Festival has a primary goal of celebrating our neighborhood and community. As such, priority will be given to local individuals. Master of Ceremonies applications close May 15th.
