This training integrates principles from attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) within the framework of the Adaptive Information Processing model.
Rather than pathologizing symptoms or attachment patterns, this course reframes them as adaptive responses designed to preserve safety and connection. Clinicians will learn how to conceptualize parts through an attachment lens, support the development of internal secure attachment, and apply this framework across EMDR phases from history-taking through reprocessing and integration.
IFS-informed interventions are used to support case conceptualization, preparation, and target identification, while EMDR procedures remain the primary method for activating and reprocessing maladaptively stored memory networks.
This course is designed for clinicians integrating IFS, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches who are seeking a clear, structured method for working with relational patterns within the EMDR protocol.
