    Middlesex County (MA) Chapter

In 1976, Middlesex County became the 144th Chapter of The Links, Inc. The chapter organizers were Jean Challenger Hurd, Patricia Hardiman Long, J.D., Helen Boulware Moore, Maxine Pierce and Ida White and along with following 15 other women, chartered Middlesex County. Middlesex County Chapter members are linked by “friendship and service” and over the past 50 years have celebrated many chapter milestones.

The Middlesex County (MA) Links are continuing our proud legacy of supporting programs that enhance the lives of women and children of color and have committed to provide funding and programming to We Belong during the next few years. We Belong is a youth leadership program designed to introduce Boston’s inner-city youth to public service and help discover their potential. The purpose of the program is to show youth that they can be a voice in the community and offer value to the community via public service and community outreach. Throughout the program the youth will work on various projects to explore the field of public service and to discover ways to get involved in their community. The program will bring in various community leaders, elected officials, non-profit professionals, and other executives in the Greater Boston and D.C. area to engage in intimate conversation with the youth. The revenue generated from our fundraising events will provide resources for We Belong and fund our college scholarship programs.
