Welcome, well done for taking this first step.

Once you are a member of 'The Club' we can guide you through getting your handicap, which includes knowing a bit about the rules of the game.

A first official handicap requires 6 x 18 hole scorecards or 12 x 9 hole scorecards marked and signed by Les Mielles Golf Club Member holding a handicap. Most often this would be your 'Proposer' / 'Seconder'.

This might sound daunting, but there will be many members willing to help out and advise. Being experienced they will know and guide you through the rules.

You'll submit those cards via the Handicap Secretary committee@LesMiellesGolfClub.com -Attention of Handicap Sec.

You'll then be awarded your handicap, and be able to enter competitions and play at venues worldwide.

When submitted, this application is sent to the Club Committee for consideration.
Should your application be accepted then the £30 payment will be retained by the Club.
If the application is not accepted the £30 payment will be refunded.
No application can be considered unless the applicant is also a member of Les Mielles Golf & Country Club (The Course).
Please also note that concurrent full-playing membership of another EGU affiliated Golf Club in Jersey is not permitted.
Applicants should note that cards for handicap assessment marked before the applicant has been accepted will not be considered.
The Committee expects the applicant’s proposer or seconder to assist the applicant in obtaining a handicap by marking at least one card for handicap assessment following the acceptance of this application.
