  • 2026-2027 Continuing Education Presentation Proposal Application

    The MPA Education and Training Committee is accepting proposals for 2026 and 2027 CE presentations. Please complete this form if you are interested in or have been invited to present at a Minnesota Psychological Association event. Proposals from MPA members and nonmembers are welcome. Review of proposals is ongoing as we continue to schedule into 2027.  
  • Before you begin, please ensure you have the following information and files:

    • Your Curriculum Vitae (CV), highlighting your expertise in the topic
    • A summary of your presentation
    • Your professional biography
    • The learning objectives for your presentation (at least 2 learning objectives for a one-hour Lunch & Learn and 4 learning objectives for a three-hour Friday Forum) 
    • A professional headshot

    Our Continuing Education sessions are conducted as a Zoom Webinar. Interactions between the presenters and the audience are exclusively done through the Q&A feature. Attendees can ask questions or make comments in the Q&A, but are not able to speak freely. 

    Presenters will be expected to send their PPT file to MPA staff one week before the event date and meet with MPA staff the week prior for a rehearsal and tech check. 

    Lunch & Learn Presentations will be given a $100 honorarium. Friday Forum Presentations will be given a $500 honorarium.

    Review of proposals began on Tuesday, September 2, but proposals can still be submitted.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    Use the following guidlines in determining the minimum number of learning objectives based on the length of your proposed program: 

    • 2 or more learning objectives for a one-hour Lunch & Learn
    • 4 or more learning objectives for a three-hour Friday Forum

    Begin each learning objective with an active verb such as apply, demonstrate, analyze, recognize, explain, list, describe, compare. Learning objectives must be measureable. Avoid verbs such as understand, learn, and appreciate.

    • AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRONIC RECORDING AND USE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM CONTENT

      This AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRONIC RECORDING AND USE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM CONTENT (“the Agreement”) is made as of the date of signature below. This agreement is written in compliance with MPA's Antitrust and Conflict of Interest policies.For good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned who is the author and presenter of a Continuing Education Program “Presenter” hereby irrevocably grants to the Minnesota Psychological Association (MPA) and its agents (together, the "MPA"):
    • 1. The right to photograph, record, tape, or otherwise reproduce in any manner the Presenter’s continuing education presentation content ("the Product"), entitled:

      2. ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­The right hereafter to use his/her appearance, likeness, voice, approved biography and name (but no other personal data) in ­context (i.e., in a manner that, in the exercise of normal good faith and judgment, does not misrepresent, distort, caricature or ridicule him or her) solely in connection with the exploitation of the Product in all forms and media throughout the world, including, but not limited to, internet broadcast, video files) and all other ancillary or derivative rights in the Product (including, without limitation, print publication, merchandising, and sound recordings); and

       3. The right hereafter to use his/her appearance, likeness, voice and name (but no other personal data) in any way MPA deems appropriate, for any advertising, publicity, or promotional use or purpose solely in connection with the Product, but subject to the limitation to in-context use more fully described in the preceding paragraph.

      4. The undersigned hereby releases and discharges MPA, of and from each and every claim, demand, debt, liability, cost, and expense of every kind or character arising from or based in whole or in part upon the MPA, and the distribution, advertising, promotion and exploitation thereof. The undersigned further hereby releases, waives and discharges MPA and Metro State University of St. Paul, Minnesota from all liability of whatever kind or nature and from any and all present or future loss or damage, and any claims, liens, demands, causes or action, debts, liabilities, expenses, suits or judgment arising therefrom  or related in any way to the Product and covenants not to sue MPA in connection therewith. The undersigned also waives any rights of inspection, approval or "moral rights" in connection with the Product. MPA has no obligation to utilize the rights granted by this Release nor to make any payment to the undersigned in connection therewith.

      The undersigned reserves the right to use the Product for other lawful purposes in addition to those contemplated by this Agreement.

      Confirm that I have the right to enter into this Agreement, that I am not restricted by any commitments to third parties, and that MPA has no financial commitment or obligations to me as a result of this Agreement beyond the agreed upon Friday Forum honorarium of $500 or Lunch & Learn of $75. I hereby give all clearances, copyright and otherwise, for the use of my name, likeness, image, voice, appearance and performance embodied in the Product. I expressly release and indemnify MPA and its officers, employees, agents and designees from any and all claims known or unknown arising from any claim arising out of any commitment that I have to a third party that would restrict me from the performance of this Agreement. The rights granted MPA herein are in perpetuity.

      This Agreement may be amended only by mutual written agreement of MPA and the undersigned.
