Thank you for your interest in the Miss Utility/District One Call Scholarship Program. Miss Utility/District One Call will select one high school senior from each of eight regions covering Maryland and Washington, D.C., to each receive a $1,008.11 single-year scholarship.
This application will ask you to attach the following elements. We recommend having these files completed and in your possession before moving on with the application process.
Essay must be a maximum of 500 words, typed in 12-point font, double-spaced and must respond to this prompt:
Explain the importance of Miss Utility/District One Call and how it could relate to the career path you plan to pursue in the future.
Review your essay for clarity and errors before you submit it with your application.
Letters of Recommendation:
Submit at least one letter of recommendation, no more than two, dated within one year of the scholarship application date.
High School Transcript:
Transcripts do NOT need to be official. Please save it with a file name starting with your first initial and last name, e.g., JSmith_transcript.pdf.
This application must be submitted by April 5, 2019 at 11:59 EDT to be considered.
Please note, this application does NOT allow you to stop and progress where you left off. Please plan to complete the application in one session.
If needed, letters of recommendation and high school transcripts may be submitted by mail. To submit the entire application by mail, please email email@example.com for a PDF version. Materials submitted by mail must be postmarked no later than April 5, 2019, enclosed in an envelope labeled with the applicant’s full name, school and zone, and sent to the following address:
