Next Gen: Singing Contest

Mississauga youth (aged 16-22) - submit an audition for the Next Gen: Singing Contest! This yearly juried singing competition is hosted by Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival, produced by Mississauga Arts Council (MAC), and sponsored by Metalworks Studios and Metalworks Institute.

Selected performers will show their talents on the Community Stage on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 2-4 PM for the chance to win prize money and prizes from Metalworks Studios and Metalworks Institute! FAQ:
- IMPORTANT: The first-place winner of the Next Gen: Singing Contest will be asked to perform on the Main Stage as a part of their programming between 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM on June 6, 2026. We ask all of those chosen to perform at the contest to have 2 songs ready to perform (one to perform during the contest and one to potentially perform on the Main Stage).
- Performers must be aged 16-22 on the date of performance (June 6, 2026)
- Only selected peformers will be contacted
- We are looking for vocalists only for this contest. Up to 15 performers will be selected
- If you are selected to perform you will perform one song (backtrack provided by you) between the timeframe of 2 PM – 4 PM on the date of the event. Your timeslot will be provided to you ahead of time.
- Mics and other audio equipment will be provided.
This event will be recorded/photographed and may be used for program-related marketing for Mississauga Arts Council and/or Streetville Bread & Honey Festival.

This is a family-friendly event and as such, your performance must be suitable for all ages.
