Theme: Home for the Holidays

Help transform Downtown Mount Airy into a magical Window Wonderland this holiday season! All businesses within the Municipal Service District are invited to participate by decorating their windows with festive holiday displays. Show off your creativity, celebrate the warmth of home, and compete for cash prizes, special recognition, and bragging rights — all while spreading holiday cheer downtown!

Window Display Deadline: Saturday, November 22 (Christmas Parade)
Holiday Cheer Panel Winners Announced: Thursday, December 4 (City Hall Tree Lighting)
People’s Choice Voting: November 22 – December 20
People’s Choice Winner Announced: Monday, December 22

Judging Categories — Holiday Cheer Panel
This year’s expert panel will select winners in the following categories:

• Best Use of Merchandise – for windows that beautifully showcase store products in a festive way
• Best Interpretation of Theme – for displays that best capture the spirit of Home for the Holidays
• Best Do-It-Yourself Design – for creative, handmade, or upcycled displays that bring holiday charm to life

How to Participate
1) Decorate Your Window
Create a holiday-themed display that embodies the warmth and nostalgia of Home for the Holidays.
2) Advertise & Encourage Voting
Each participating business will receive a Window Wonderland flyer with a QR code and voting link to display in your window. This lets visitors easily vote for your business in the People’s Choice category.
3) Share on Social Media
Mount Airy Downtown will feature participating businesses and the public voting link on Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to share and tag us to spread the holiday spirit and boost your chances of winning!
