    Dear Applicant and Parent:

    The Mount Chesapeake is committed to the future of its youth and their education as they pursue their God given purpose. As we salute you for your educational endeavors, we want to invest in your success with a token of love from the Body of Christ in which you employ your gifts. Because we are committed to your spiritual growth and academic development, we are offering a one-time scholarship to eligible active youth partners of the Mount. The application and guidelines are provided below.

    ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY SATURDAY MARCH 28, 2026 TO:

  • THE MOUNT CHESAPEAKE 2026 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES

    In order to be considered for the scholarship, each applicant must:

    1. Be a partner of The Mount Chesapeake church for at least one year prior to the application deadline and involved in at least one ministry.

    2. Be a graduating senior with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

    3. Write an essay that explains how this scholarship can enhance your scholastic and educational goals. (Essay should be no more than one typed page, double spaced in 12 point font and attached to the packet)

    4. Provide an official high school transcript submitted by school counselor or third party transcript vendor.  PLEASE BE SURE TO REQUEST TRANSCRIPT NO LATER THAN 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO DEADLINE TO ENSURE TIMELY RECEIPT.

    5. Provide two letters of recommendation from non-family members.

    a. One letter must be from a high school teacher, guidance counselor or school administrator and submitted on the school's official letterhead.

    b. The second letter must be a letter of volunteer service from the church, civic, community service organization or extra-curricular activity in your location within the last two years. Your volunteer service must have been for at least one year and the letter must be submitted on official letterhead. (Extra-curricular activities include sports, school clubs and employment)

    *PLEASE REQUEST RECOMMENDATION LETTERS NO LATER THAN 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO DEADLINE TO ENSURE TIMELY RECEIPT.

    6. Provide a copy of an acceptance letter from the institution you may attend on official letterhead or university email.

    7. Include all required signatures.
