And God Said it is Good Microgrant Application

Children's ministry microgrants are now available from the Noth Carolina synod's And God Says It Is Good Lilly Endowment grant!

Each microgrant will consist of $300 with the expectation that your congregation will match that with $300 from your own fundrainsing, budget, or even a Thrivent Action grant.

We have coaching available to help congregations discern their ministry needs with little ones. If you would like to discuss this before you apply, please reach out to Mindy Makant.

Money must be used for children aged 3-10 years old for faith formation in the home or congregation. This could include but is not limited to:

update children’s books and Bibles
create fidget baskets
purchase resources for children’s music ministry
provide take-home materials for parents/caregivers
create your own proposal—what does your congregation need?

Decisions regarding this grant will be decided within two weeks of the application being submitted.

What is your plan for the microgrant?

The goals of And God Says it is Good are to:

embrace the full humanity and goodness of children;
enhance faith formation experiences for children ages 3-10 across the synod;
encourage creative expression of faith;
equip communities of faith to become places of full inclusion for all of our children.

How with your proposal connect to the goal(s) of the And God Said It Is Good grant?

We understand that in order to receive this microgrant we must match the $300.
