Youth Gathering Synod Financial Assistance

We are excited to help make the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering accessible to as many young people as possible across the NC Synod!

While we have not yet reached our full fundraising goal for Gathering scholarships, we want to begin providing financial assistance now rather than waiting. As an initial step, the NC Synod is providing $175 per youth to each participating congregation to help offset the cost of Gathering registration.

This assistance is intended to help congregations reduce the amount individual youth and families need to pay toward registration. We recognize that the cost of Gathering can be a significant barrier, and we are committed to continuing to seek additional funding so that more young people have the opportunity to participate.

Each congregation will receive $175 for every youth registered to attend the Gathering. NOTE: We are not covering any costs for adult chaperones, or the Young Adult Gathering.

We are grateful for the generosity of congregations, families, donors, and partners who are helping make this experience possible.
