2025-2026 Special Consideration and/or Tertiary Education Application

This agreement represents the terms & conditions for Special Consideration and/or Tertiary Education applications

The Noosa Heads SLSC Lifesaving Committee (LSC) will consider your application for Special Consideration and/or Tertiary Education assuming the following conditions will be strictly adhered to:

Prerequisites:

• Member must be financial and proficient as at 31 December.
• Member must apply directly to the LSC and be enrolled within a tertiary education facility during the patrolling season.
• Program participants must provide tertiary calendar and scheduled dates of exams and SWATVAC periods.

Responsibilities:

• Special Consideration patrolling members must fulful patrolling commitments to achieve 45 beach patrolling hours per season and provide support at Club Special Events.
• Tertiary Link members must fulfil patrolling commitments outside notified stress periods.  Defined period of patrols allowed absence without penalty.
• Member will make all and reasonable attempts to attend the respective patrol allocated dates.  Member acknowledges that Noosa Heads SLSC has the right to cancel this application at any time at its discretion if the member does not follow the Club directive.
• Patrol hours previously absent are to be completed at a later date within the season allocated to fulfil Noosa Heads SLSC patrolling requirements.
• Program participants must notify their Patrol Captain 2 weeks (14 days) in writing, in advance of their planned absence.

I hereby commit to upholding a respectable demeanor and acting in a manner that will not bring Noosa Heads SLSC in to disrepute while representing the Club. Consequently, I will adhere strictly to the Code of Conduct for Members established by Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ).

Upon being granted the subsidy, I hereby affirm my commitment to fulfilling all my obligations to the best of my capabilities. Furthermore, I will promptly notify the Noosa Heads SLSC Lifesaving Committee of any changes that may occur.

I have carefully reviewed and comprehended the Patrol Obligations Policy as well as the Noosa Heads SLSC Lifesaving Members Handbook, located via my Members Portal.

I confirm that I have thoroughly read and comprehended this agreement, acknowledging my obligations stated above. In the event that I fail to fulfill the aforementioned responsibilities or breach the terms outlined in the agreement, I understand that my application may be revoked.
