Purpose
The FFA Advisor of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding agricultural educator who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and support for their FFA chapter and students. This award highlights the advisor's impact on student success, community involvement, and the advancement of agricultural education.
Criteria
- Entries for this recognition will be made only with this application.
- Only one advisor shall be submitted per school/chapter. An advisor may receive this recognition only once every five (5) years. The application should only cover April 1-March 31.
- The application should be completed by the chapter officers and members with the help and knowledge of the school administration and another advisor in the chapter if there is one.
- The application must have all the signatures requested and be submitted by April 1 .
- The application will be judged by the State Award Selection committee which consists of teacher educators, educational supervisors and administrators, Alumni and/or Advisory Council members.
- The following items will be considered:
- FFA Chapter Participation
- FANR Classroom and Laboratory
- Supervised Agricultural Experience program promotion
- FFA encouragement
- Chapter Officer and Administrator statements
- The nominee must have completed at least 3 years of teaching agriculture and have provided exceptional service to the FFA chapter, agricultural industry, and agricultural education.
