INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION
- Applications must be submitted by April 1 or the date indicated on the current Calendar of Events.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be evaluated.
- A link to the student's performance MUST be uploaded or included in this application.
- The application must be signed by the applicant's parent/guardian, advisor and school administrator and uploaded to this application.
- Applicants and advisors will be notified of status around May 1 via email.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
- Only one act per application is permitted.
- Please do not submit acts that require excessive stage props, scenery, etc.
- Only musical talents will be accepted (singing, playing instrument, dancing, etc.)
- Acts such as magicians, comedians, ventriloquists and pantomimes are not suitable for this event.
- The talent act shown in the accompanying video should closely resemble the act that will be performed at the state convention.
IF THE APPLICATION SELECTED FOR AUDITIONS
- The accepted talent act must be available to attend a mandatory audition on Wednesday of convention at 3:00 pm. This will be the only practice session available to the talent act.
- If, during the audition, the talent act does not meet expectations, he/she will not be scheduled to perform.
WHERE THE TALENT ACT WILL BE ASKED TO PERFORM
- On the main stage of the convention hall during the CDE Awards Session and/or General Session 5.
STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE FFA TALENT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- All expense incurred in travel, lodging and meals during the convention.
- State Convention registration fees.
- Equipment and music - each participant must have music on a flash drive and provide it to the talent coordinator during the audition.
