    State Convention Backstage Crew Application

    -This application is open to recent high school graduates whose FFA membership is still active, and who are not running for State Office. -Crew members will assist both onstage and backstage during State Convention. These roles will include assisting with reading award descriptions, leading award recipients and guests on and off stage, running tech and AV, completing other related tasks and helping State Convention run as smoothly as possible. Additional backstage responsibilities may be assigned where appropriate. -Crew members will be required to attend the virtual webinar on Friday, May 8, 2026 and depending on the role one in-person work session on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. -All meals and lodging will be covered for the duration of Convention. -Additionally, Crew members who successfully fulfill their responsibilities will earn Lifetime Membership in the FFA Alumni & Supporters Association. - Applications are due April 1, 2026.

  • State Convention Backstage Crew Commitment Form

    If selected as part of the State Convention Backstage Crew, I will:

    1. Be dedicated and committed to my role for the duration of State Convention.
    2. Be willing to attend an online webinar meeting on Friday, May 8, and depending on the role an in-person work session on Monday, May 11.
    3. Be willing to commit the entire week (May 18-22, 2026) to State Convention activities, including set-up, practice, and clean-up.
    4. Be willing to tackle any tasks assigned to me, including assisting with awards presentations, reading award descriptions and recipient names, leading recipients on and off stage, and any other tasks that may come up.
    5. Arrange and be responsible for my own transportation to and from State Convention.
    6. Be willing to forgo participation in other Convention activities that conflict with my responsibilities as Convention Crew.
    7. Be willing to take and follow instructions as directed by those responsible for me, as well as take on additional responsibilites when needed.
    8. Wear Official Dress at all functions and remain as such until directed otherwise.
    9. Manage my time so I will be prompt to all sessions and events.
    10. Always show respect for others and behave in a way that reflects positively on the New Jersey FFA Association.
