2024 NYA Alumni Bursary Application

NYA is opening the 2024 Alumni Bursary for Alumni of a Northern Youth Abroad Core Program (Canadian, Next, or International Program) who are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program at college, university, or upgrading. There are a limited number of bursaries available, applications received by October 9 will be given equal consideration. Beyond that date, applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first served basis.

Successful applicants will be eligible to receive $1000 given through four $250 payments made in each of October 2024, November 2024, January 2025, and March 2025 if they remain enrolled and complete a check in with an NYA staff member.

Check-ins are to ensure that our investment in student success includes wrap-around supports. We want to know how your school year is going, and how else we can support you.

Upload your current proof of enrollment, or email it to nya@nya.ca. To be valid it must:

- be dated for 2024 - ie. "as of Sept 2024, Student is a Fulltime student in Program Name". A letter of acceptance or an outdated funding form will not cover this requirement.

- be official from your school (have a school letterhead, logo, or signature)

- have your full name on it

- show your courses, or your current student status (part-time or full-time).
