Empowering Futures: A Mental Health Pre-Apprenticeship Curriculum
Developed by the National Youth Employment Coalition, this no-cost, flexible curriculum introduces learners to behavioral health careers and builds the interpersonal and professional skills needed to enter the workforce. Learners develop active listening, de-escalation, cultural responsiveness, and professional communication through facilitated instruction, interactive activities, and a structured shadowing experience.

Youth Development Practitioner (YDP) Pre-Apprenticeship Curriculum
This pre-apprenticeship curriculum was designed to introduce young adults to careers supporting other youth, serving as an on-ramp into the Youth Development Practitioner Registered Apprenticeship. The curriculum is built around the National AfterSchool Association's ten Core Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies (CKSC) for Out-of-School Time Professionals, and combines foundational positive youth development concepts with hands-on skill-building in communication, teamwork, conflict management, and professional readiness.
