Ski Mentee Expression of Interest (EOI) Form For Women’s Mentoring Programme

This form is to express your interest in participating as a mentee in the Ski Women’s Mentoring initiative run by NZSIA.

We are taking expressions of interest to match participants with mentors for the 2024 calendar year. Mentees are assessed and carefully matched with mentors to maximise learning and development.

We will select up to 10 ski mentees who apply via this formal application process below.

There will be roughly three one-on-one sessions with your assigned mentor, and regular mentor programme communication will provide guidance to mentors and mentees to ensure progress. The programme will conclude with an evaluation to assess how well it has met needs and expectations of both mentors and mentees and to assist future mentoring programs.

These questions aim to explore any challenges related to gender or identity that applicants may have faced and how they envision overcoming these barriers through higher levels of education. Participation in answering these questions is voluntary and will help inform our efforts to promote inclusivity and equality within this industry.

Exploring Gender Bias and Discrimination within the ski and snowboard industry:

In our effort to better understand and tackle the gender disparity issue in ski/snowboard certifications, we aim to address biases and discrimination hindering women from completing higher certification levels.
