  • Inviting 20s and 30s to join us in costume for Purim 5785! We're excited to welcome you for megillah reading, hamantaschen, drinks, music, and Purim festivities. This event is 21+.

    Date: Thursday, March 13, 2025

    Time: 7:30-11:00pm

Location: Park Avenue Synagogue, 50 E 87th St, New York, NY 10128

This event is BYOG (bring your own grogger)! Please bring a bag of rice, lentils, or other noisy dry goods to use as a grogger. Pasta does not work well, as it is likely to break the box. After the service, we will collect dry food to donate as matanot le'evyonim (gifts for those in need) to The New York Common Pantry.

We also encourage you to fulfill the mitzvah of matanot le'evyonim, giving gifts to those in need on Purim, by donating to Met Council, a Jewish organization that provides tens of thousands of New Yorkers with critical services in their fight against poverty each year.

Megillah Madness 5785 is hosted by Park Avenue Synagogue, Reshet Ramah, USY Alumni, JTS Alumni, and YALA. We are grateful for the generous support of our sponsoring organizations: Ansche Chesed, Beth El Synagogue Center, Congregation Agudath Israel - Caldwell, CSAIR, Midway Jewish Center, Orangetown Jewish Center, Temple Emanu-El of Closter, Temple Israel Center, and the United Synagogue of Hoboken.
