    • Important Reminders

When changing a student's academic program, please remember the following:

      • All programs must be in the same catalog year. Students cannot pick programs from different catalog years.
      • Students switching to a major under the same degree level (Associate, Bachelor, Master, etc.) with the same Major CIP Code do not need their Program Effective Date or Program Start Date updated in Student Status.
      • Students who are changing programs between semesters should have Program Effective Dates and Program Start Dates set to the first day of the next semester they enroll for both the former program and the new program. We cannot change a program for a student who is not enrolled. Additionally, continue to use the first day of the semester for the Effective Date and Program Start Date until we send the first Clearinghouse report (usually two to three weeks into the semester).
      • When changing students from an Associate to Bachelor program, don't forget to update the Anticipated Graduation Date in the Degrees module.
