Free Music Lessons For Aquidneck Students
The Newport Folk & Jazz Festivals and Gruben Charitable Foundation are proud to offer free, private music lessons for Aquidneck Island students.

Each student will receive ten, half-hour-long lessons. Every lesson comes with the option to rent a free instrument.

Must be between the ages of 9-18.

Upon completing this form, Newport Music will reach out to coordinate when and where your lessons will take place.

We offer two locations for lessons:

Newport Music - 142 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI (next to Pasta Beach). or

The Florence Grey Center - 1 York St, Newport, RI 02840 in the Boys & Girls Club Music room.

NOTE: Lessons at the Florence Grey Center are only offered one day a week. So if you pick that location, there will be less flexibility as to when you can schedule your lesson.

We ask every parent to submit the following pledge to confirm your child's commitment to the music lessons. It is totally fine to miss or skip a lesson. All we ask is that they take ten lessons over the course of the year.
