  • The music industry is notoriously difficult. We've all heard the horror stories. The Newport Festivals "Navigating the Music Industry" Workshop is a free, 2-week Zoom program, taught by musicians and industry professionals, to help musicians learn how to avoid exploitation in the music business, and build healthy, sustainable careers.

Hosted by Chris Funk of the Decemberists, each class will focus on one part of the business and feature a panel of industry experts. Topics will include managers, agents, touring, and more.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is intended for musicians who have begun their careers and intend to pursue music seriously. Must be 18 years or older. Please use this form to apply. We will review applications and let you know if you have been accepted by March 19th.

Each session will take place from 5:00pm – 6:30pm Eastern via Zoom

    Dates: March 21st, 23rd, 28th, 30th.

If you have any questions please email info@newportfestivals.org
