About North York Stars
North York Stars is a Leader's Club for seniors to actively engage with community members while enjoying the arts. Elders have so much knowledge and leadership to contribute to the Arts community and we want to honour that!

If you love art & are ready to take initiative this opportunity is for you!

Volunteering at our programs will allow you to:
- Further your communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Learn more about setting up and observing how art workshops are run
- Meet and interact with artists, event staff, and youth participants
- Enrich youth through your skillset and support

Responsibilities:

-You will serve as the leadership team for North York Arts initiatives. You have excellent communication skills & teamwork skills.
-Support with the logistics of distributing materials during the sessions and organizing materials after the sessions.

We will do our best to accommodate mobility needs for our senior volunteers.

Reward System:

Earn volunteer points and get REWARDS! Including NYA Swag Mug after your first shift!

Onboarding:

Please note a mandatory onboarding process will occur for all seniors who apply to this program. This will include a virtual interview and online training.
