Become a Volunteer at North York Arts!
About North York Arts
At North York Arts our purpose is to deliver on the City’s social, economic and cultural goals outside of the downtown core. NYA was created to specifically address the needs and interests of artists, arts organizations and residents based in North York.
Volunteering at our programs will allow you to:
- Further your communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Learn more about setting up and observing how art workshops are run
- Meet and interact with artists, event staff, and youth participants
- Receive Community hours
This is a fun and creative way to also get community hours while learning something new and getting to know some cool people!
Responsibilities:
Set up and tear down working space indoors and outdoors previous to the session: move and wash paint brushes, move paint buckets, set up and take down tents, and help with additional tasks related to clean up.
Support with the logistics of distributing materials during the sessions and organizing materials after the sessions.
Volunteers need to be able to lift some weight to help with the setup and tear down of workshops.
Snacks and light refreshments will be provided. Depending on the shifts lunch will be also available.
Thank you so much for your interest!
