We are looking for session speakers! 

The Annual OCCS Convocation is an all day training and networking event for our OCCS sponsored schools, both brick-and-mortar and eSchools.

August 7th: Convocation

OCCS is pleased to welcome leaders, innovators, and speakers within the charter school movement to submit proposals for the OCCS Convocation sessions. 

The theme this year is Ignite The Future: Empower. Inspire. Transform.

Since the first Convocation in 2017, we continue to feature engaging speakers that discuss educational best practices, leadership skills and specialized training catered to our charter school leaders, teachers, and staff members. 

Important Dates

Proposal Submission Deadline: 
April 18, 2025

Deadline to Provide Session Materials (PowerPoint, handouts, etc.):
June 30, 2025

Annual OCCS Convocation
August 7, 2025 in Westerville, OH

Proposals 

Proposals are expected to highlight topics relating to charter school education. Sessions will range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes. 

We are looking for sessions that relate to the following topics:

Academics 

Emerging Educational Technology

Leadership

Special Education

Mental Health & Wellness

School Finance

Legislation 

Presenter Expectations

Selected presenters will be asked to agree to the following:

• All presenters must register for the conference.
• Presenters will have their presentation loaded onto their own laptop. OCCS will provide projectors and HDMI cables. 
• All handouts and presentation support materials, including PowerPoint presentations, must be electronically provided to OCCS by July 1, 2025. These materials will be posted on the Convocation app for participant download. 
• Presenters agree to allow the Convocation committee to review all session materials prior to the Convocation.
