Overview
The Ohio Council of Community Schools (OCCS) offers scholarship renewal for students who have previously applied for and/or received an OCCS Scholarship. These students must be pursuing a degree at any 4-year college or university (University of Toledo, etc.), 2-year college (Owens Community College, etc.), or trade school leading to a certification (Hamrick Truck Driving School, etc.).
Application Requirements
Completed application responses, essay, and a college transcript (official or unofficial) indicating the candidate's cumulative grade point average. You may also submit your "Student Aid Report" from a completed FAFSA (this is not required but helpful in assessing financial need).
Awards
Scholarship awards range between $500-$2,500. Scholarship will be applied to the 2024-2025 school year (divided between the fall 2025 semester and spring 2026 semester).
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for an OCCS Renewal Scholarship:
- Applicant has applied for an OCCS Scholarship in the past.
- Applicant is currently attending a 4-year college or university, a 2-year college, or trade school leading to certification.
- Applicant has a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher at their current school.
