O.C.E.A.N. (Organization for Cultural Exchange Among Nations)
The U.S. Department of State requires a sponor representative other than the area representative who recruited, screened and selected the host family visit the host family's home within the first or second month following the student's placement in the home. The purpose of the second home visit is to double check the area representative's initial home inspection. The home visit representative will evaluate the cleanliness, suitability and safety of the host family's home.

You, as the sponsor representative, are assigned to do a 1 time inspection at the host family's home within one or two months after the exchange student's arrival at the host family's residency. The purpose of the home inspection is to evaluate the cleanliness, suitability and safety of the host family's home.
