  • Welcome to the 2025-26 Jerry Awards!

Every program that participates will receive nominations and condensed, but still high-quality, written feedback. The fee this year is $300.

Some things to note for this year:

    1. We will continue to accept up to 10 shows on the same weekend.

Applications submitted after we hit the 10 will be accepted as we can assign reviewers.

We will take double-show weekends into account.

It has become increasingly difficult to secure reviewers for all the shows on the VERY busy weekends.

    2. As of 2024 The Jerrys NO LONGER review summer productions.

The summer months are when we are able to look at our process, forms and any changes/adjustments we need to make for the program.

Any questions or feedback on these changes please do not hesitate to reach out to our Jerry Awards Team!

  • Application Process:

    1. Complete and submit this form.
      • You can save as you go if you can't complete it in one sitting.
      • PLEASE FILL OUT THE ENTIRE FORM REGUARDLESS OF REQUIRED STATUS OF THE QUESTION - Some may say they are not required but they are, it's like this for programs who need to submit matirials to be edited later.
    1. Upon submitting you will be redirected to pay the $300 application fee.
      • There is a "pay later" option.

If there are any issues with payments please reach out to the Jerry Awards team.

    Application Deadlines*:

    • October 13, 2025: For ALL SHOWS this season. Shows taking place before this deadline should submit matirials ASAP.
    • Final weekend of Jerry Eligible Shows is May 1st through 3rd

We know there are A LOT of questions. Thank you for taking the time to answer them all. Reviewers will see a copy of this application before attending your production.

This is your opportunity to tell reviewers who is involved, what your budget is, and overall what it's like to put on a musical at your school.

*Applications submitted after these deadlines are subject to program manager’s approval.

**Shows that open the first weekend in May and run for two weekends are eligible. Reviewers will ONLY attend the first weekend of the run.

  • How the Program Works:

All high schools and community theater programs** are eligible to participate in the Jerrys as long as the cast is 75% high school aged performers and do not participate in other statewide high school theater programs. Submitted musicals are reviewed by a team of two or three reviewers. The production is reviewed based on a pre-determined rubric. Each reviewer submits their comments and feedback then they are compiled and sent to the school to distribute and share as they wish. In May, Overture Center announces the Jerry Awards recipients based on nominations. As the program recognizes and honors excellence, multiple award recipients are selected in each category. Awards are distributed during an annual awards show that features performances by outstanding musical and performers. **Outstanding Lead Performers from a community theater production are not elegible to audition for the Jimmy Awards per Jimmy award rules and regulations.

  • Information For Reviewers

This section is useful to reviewers who may not be familiar with your school's past productions, or any challenges a musical (or this one in particular) presents. Reviewers are particularly interested in knowing why this particular musical was selected.
  • School & Budget Information:

Your production is never compared to another production in the program. Reviewers are trained to use the Jerrys Program's rubric and to provide feedback based on what they saw in your production. Your school size and budget size are considered when the reviewers look at how you used your resources. By looking at the show this way schools with big budgets and small budgets, large student populations and small student populations are looked at through the same lens. If you have questions or concerns about this please contact Karra Beach or Jack Porubsky.
