  • Summer Program Expectations

  • “Summer” is for students who…

    • Have the stamina to participate in camp rehearsals and activities independently all day, while being responsible for your materials, sheet music, and personal belongings.
    • Reliably use the practice tracks to prepare their music independently before camp begins.
    • Listen and follow directions from the teacher during instruction.
    • Use the bathroom and be able to eat lunch on their own with other singers.
    • Want to deepen their learning and singing in a group!
    • Are excited to learn new songs, try new things, and grow as a musician.

    SSCC will provide…

    • An audition-free opportunity—no prior singing experience required
    • A high-quality singing experience that supports your growth as a musician and a singer
    • Engaging and age-appropriate instruction
    • To support student success, we use Tier 1 strategies such as: (1) Clear Expectations, (2) Explicit Instruction, (3) Positive Reinforcement, (4) Positive Culture, (5) Visual Supports, (6) Movement Breaks, and (7) Consistent Routines.

  •  Liability Waiver


    In consideration of being permitted to utilize the facilities, services and programs of the South Shore Children's Chorus, (or for my children to so participate) for any purpose, including, but not limited to observation or use of facilities or equipment, or participation in program, the undersigned, for himself or herself and such participating children and any personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, hereby acknowledges, agrees and represents that he or she has, or immediately upon entering or participating will, inspect and carefully consider such premises and facilities or the affiliated program. It is further warranted that such entry into the facility for observation or use of any facilities or equipment or participation in such affiliated program constitutes an acknowledgement that such premises and all facilities and equipment thereon and such affiliated program have been inspected and carefully considered and that the undersigned finds and accepts same as being safe and reasonably suited for the purpose of such observation, use or participation by the undersigned and such children. 
     The undersigned is aware of the different types of activities, equipment, and facilities offered by the organization, and is aware of the risks inherent in the participation in such activities and use of such equipment and facilities. In further consideration of being permitted to enter the facility for any purpose including, but not limited to observation or use of facilities or equipment, or participation in any program affiliated with the organization, the undersigned hereby agrees to the following: 

    1. The undersigned on his or her behalf and behalf of such children, hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue the South Shore Children's Chorus, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents (hereinafter referred to as "releasees") from all liability to the undersigned or such children and all his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefor on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of the undersigned or such children whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise while the undersigned or such children is in, upon, or about the premises or any facilities or equipment therein or participating in any program affiliated with the South Shore Children's Chorus.

    2. The undersigned hereby agrees to indemnify and save and hold harmless the releasees and each of them from any, loss, liability, damage or cost they may, incur due to the presence of the undersigned or such children in, upon or about the premises or in any way observing or using any facilities or equipment of the organization or participating in any program whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise. 

    3. The undersigned hereby assumes full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage to the undersigned or such children due to negligence of releasees or otherwise while in, about or upon the premises and/or while using the premises or any facilities or equipment thereon or participating in any program affiliated with the South Shore Children's Chorus. The undersigned further expressly agrees that
    the foregoing release waiver and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Massachusetts and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

     The undersigned has read and voluntarily signs the release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements or inducement apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made. 

     I have read and understand this document and release. 

     

  • Media Release Waiver

     
    I, Parent/Legal Guardian of the child named above herby grant permission to the South Shore Children's Chorus its agents and assigns, to use above named child's photo, video, or likeness for the purpose of promotion by the South Shore Children's Chorus for all forms, media, and manners.  This could include the following (but is not limited to,) news releases, photographs, video, audio, website, marketing, advertising, trade, promotion, social media, and exhibition for an indefinite period of time. 
    I give unrestricted permission for images, videos, and recordings of this child to be used in print, video, digital, and internet media.  I agree that these images, videos, and/or voice recordings may be used for a variety of purposes and they may also be used without further notifying me. 

    I further acknowledge that I will not be compensated for these uses, and the South Shore Children's Chorus owns all rights to the images, videos, and recordings, and to any/all derivative works created from them. 

    I waive any right to inspect the uses of any printed or electronic copy.  I hereby release the South Shore Children's Chorus and its agents and assigns from any claims that may arise from these uses, including without limitation claims of defamation or invasion of privacy, or of infringement of moral rights or rights of publicity or copyright. 

    By signing below, I represent that I am at least 18 years of age, and am the parent/guardian/legal representative of the above-named Minor.  I have read the foregoing agreement and am familiar with all the terms and conditions thereof and consent to its execution by the Minor.  I agree that neither I nor the Minor will revoke or disaffirm this agreement at any time. 

    In return, the South Shore Children's Chorus hereby agrees to the following guidelines regarding all forms of media. 

    The South Shore Children's Chorus will not release personal information including (but not limited to) Students' last names, personal activities, personal phone numbers, street addresses, personal email addresses, and names of other family members, in media without written permission from the above signed parent/guardian/legal representative.  

    The South Shore Children's Chorus will not share photos/videos in which three or more students appear without written permission from the above signed parent/guardian/legal representative. 


    The South Shore Children's Chorus will not share any form of media (photo, video, or audio recording) of an individual student without written permission from the above signed parent/guardian/legal representative.

     

  • Summer Tuition Refund Policy

     

    A non-refundable installment of $100 for all singers is required upon registration for SSCC Summer.

    Please note: this installment is non-refundable.

     

    PAYMENT OPTIONS AND REFUND POLICIES

    Please note: All Tuition Payments must be made via credit/debit card through Quickbooks Invoicing. 

     


    OPTION 1: Full Payment upon registration

    OPTION 2: Payment Plan

    Deposit of $100 due upon registration. The remainder will be split into three monthly payments due on March 15, April 15, and May 15. 

    All payments must be complete by May 15, 2026.

    OPTION 3: Tuition Assistance

    Should you be interested in being considered for our need-based Tuition Assistance program, please register for our tuition assitsance class option. All Tuition Assistance payments are non-refundable.

     
    Refund policy:

    $100 Installment required upon registration is non-refundable for any reason.
    All payments must be completed by May 15, 2026. 
    Should you register for SSCC Summer after May 15, 2026, payment must be made in full at the time of registration.
    All payments after May 15, 2025 are non-refundable for any reason.
