Summer Staff Application

Applications will be accepted from November 1 - March 15. Applicants will not be considered until all forms are submitted; please submit ASAP! You cannot be hired without three recommendations.

List the individuals who will be submitting your recommendation forms. All recommendations must be received before your application is considered.

Camp Mohaven's policy requires all individuals working with minors, whether volunteer or paid, to submit and clear a criminal background check. This procedure is done to protect both the campers and the staff. 

As part of the hiring process, you will be emailed instructions to complete both a required online training session and a criminal background check.

1. Completed applications are compiled with returned recommendation forms. All references must be received before your application is processed.

2. Applications, recommendation forms and interview notes are considered in context of the positions to be filled.

3. Further recommendations may be sought from those acquainted with the applicant.

4. All applicants will receive an email indicating one of these three decisions (by April 15):
    a. hired as a staff member
    b. waiting list (a position may become available before summer)
    c. unable to hire this summer.

5. For hired staff, contracts and payroll information will be sent prior to camp.

I acknowledge my prior employer(s) and current employer may be contacted for a clearer understanding of my work experience and job performance. I understand the Ohio Conference of SDA may use the information regarding my prior and current employment(s) in considering this application. I also permit my present and prior employer(s) to disclose to the Ohio Conference of SDA information in their possession or subject to their control, including information contained in my personnel file(s). In this regard, I expressly release the Ohio Conference of SDA from any and all liability of whatever kind and nature which, at any time, may result from obtaining and making an employment decision based upon the requested information.
