  • Important Information About Your Online Transaction

    When completing your transaction online, there is an additional processing fee. The Tax Collector's office does not keep any portion of this fee.

    Replacement Fees:

    • MV Decal: $33.60 + $1.31 processing fee
    • Boat Decal: $3.75 + $0.42 processing fee
    • Plate: $36.40 + $1.40 processing fee
    • High Occupancy Vehicle Decal: $4.60 + $0.45 processing fee

    Your card will only be charged if your application is approved.

    No Additional Fee Option

    To avoid the processing fee, you can complete your replacement application by mail. Properly complete the Replacement Form, and mail with proper payment to: Ken Burton, Jr., Tax Collector, P.O. Box 25300, Bradenton, FL 34206-5300.

    Lost-in-Transit Replacements

    If you recently renewed your registration online or by mail and did not receive it, select “Lost-in-transit” as the Replacement Reason on page 3. If eligible, no fee is required.

    Immediate Replacements

    If you need your replacement plate or decal immediately, schedule an appointment at one of our offices by visiting www.taxcollector.com.

    There Are No Refunds

    Once your transaction is submitted, we are unable to refund, reverse, or cancel your transaction. 

    Sensitive Information Acknowledgement 

    By submitting this form, you acknowledge and accept that you are providing sensitive information to the Manatee County Tax Collector in order to enable us to complete your transaction. 

  • You are NOT eligible to complete this application online.

    Our office only serves Manatee county residents. You must visit a Manatee County Tag Agency or your home county to complete your transaction. Please see the Manatee County Tag Agency CIP for more information. 

     

  • Damaged: A damaged license plate is when a license plate has sustained physical damage. Example: A boat trailer struck the license plate and dented the letters or numbers, customer has waxed or pressure-washed the letters off the license plate, etc.

  • Lost-in-transit (applied for online or by mail and never received): License plates or decals lost in transit may be replaced 10 days after the issue date at no fee if the application is made within 180 days from the date of issuance.  This selection cannot be used if renewed in person or through a dealer.

     

  • Defaced: A defaced license plate is when the license plate has not sustained physical damage, but is unreadable for some other reason. Example: The sun has faded the letters or numbers on the license plate.

  • Stolen with Police Report: By digitally signing this online application form (last page), you are certifying that the stolen item was reported to law enforcement as being stolen.  

    NOTE: A personalized replacement license plate may be issued with the same characters if law enforcement provides the applicant with a statement that such license plate has been removed from the FCIC and NCIC computer files.

  • ATTESTMENT

    I hereby certify under the penalty of perjury that the license plate or decal for the vehicle, vessel, or mobile home I listed on this application is no longer or has never been in my possession for the reason I selected on this application. All information herein is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
