In an effort to increase diversity within the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as other surgical specialties, Emory University's Department of Orthopaedics has developed an immersion opportunity for under-represented minorities, including women and people of color, through a 6-week summer internship program. This program allows students to participate in a directed internship with an overall goal of increasing exposure to the field of Orthopaedic Surgery.
This is an in-person opportunity that will run from June 2 - July 11, 2025.
The application window is Dec. 16, 2024 until Feb. 17, 2025 @ 11:59 p.m.
Applicants selected for interviews will be notified on or before February 25. Interviews will take place on March 3rd and 5th from 6:30pm - 8pm (applicants will be assigned to either day). We anticipate making offers to join the program by Friday, March 7.
*Please note: while there may be some minor research components of the program, this is not a research internship.
